Listening Comprehension
Now, it is easier for me to
understand the people with whom I work. Before, I did not understand most of
the words that people told me. Talking in English with people, familiarise me
with some words, so when I speak English I understand more thing than before.
The strategy I use to make sure that I understand the instructions is analyse
the speech, I analyse what I and other people said in the L2. . When someone
speaks, I am attentive to every word he said to understand her.
Accent
My accent in English has
changed a little during my internship. I can pronounce some words very well and
others not. There are some words and expression that are easier to say for me.
Example interesting, scary, confusing, nervous and l've been running for tree
miles. I had some misunderstandings based on pronunciation because some time a
work with a lady who has a Indian accent and when she speaks in English I do
not understand very well but I try to understand .the words that I still
struggle with is laugh ,mood ,cooing ,rough and etc. I noticed different
positions in my mouth with the (th) when I speak English, I place tip of
tongue behind the top of the teeth, I breathe out ,retract the tongue and after
I have a vibrate air behind tongue.
Fluency
I became more comfortable
to speak in English with some people, for me, the easiest topic for talking in
English are clothes, the accessories, food and talk about people. The subjects
who still cause me hesitation are when people speak about science and astrology.
The strategies I have used to become more fluent is don't mind make mistakes
when I talk. example, before I did not speak in English because I had doing too
many mistakes but now I'm not afraid to make mistakes because I know people
will correct me and I will learn from my mistakes.
Humour
Sometimes,
when I translate a English joke to a French joke they don’t have the same sense
and then I don’t understand the joke.
Sometimes I try to speak in English with more accurately. When I speak I
Remember to pronounce the ’s’ after plural nouns and the third person simple
present but some time, I forget to say the regular ‘ed’ after regular past
tense verbs. the observation that I made about language structures is: I have
to put the adjective before I put the nouns, The present continuous is formed
by using the auxiliary "BE" in the present simple monitoring of the
present participle (verb form in 'ING') is An action taking place now
(at the moment of speaking)and etc.
5 new words
When I was in the dining room, I heard some word
like bright spicy, tasteless, bitter and tasty. Bitter is a producing one
of the four basic taste sensations; not sour, sweet, or salt tasteless
is when you have no taste or flavor. Tasty mean good-tasting. Spicy mean seasoned with or containing spice and bright is an intelligent person. Those words will allow me to describe the taste of my food
